Stars and Stripes had an interesting article about the ridiculous rules our servicemembers face.

Hundreds of firearm violations at Fort Hood over 10-year period

FORT HOOD, Texas — During a 10-year period, there have been more than 230 instances of soldiers violating Army regulations by bringing an unregistered firearm on to this Central Texas post.

The Killeen Daily Herald reports that an open-records request revealed the violations occurred from 2004 to 2014. There were 45 reports of unregistered weapons last year, the highest number during that 10-year timeframe.
