Fire Kills People in Oklahoma Gun Range

NOWATA — One man is dead and another was injured in a blaze Thursday at a gun range west of Nowata.
The Nowata Fire Department was called around 2 p.m. to Nowata Firearms, located off U.S. 60 between county roads 411 and 412. Firefighters had the flames put out by about 4 p.m.
A 50- to 60-year-old man died at the scene, Lenapah Fire Chief Doug Sonenberg said. The man was believed to be a customer at the range.
The injured man was pulled from inside the burning structure and was taken to a hospital, Sonenberg said.
