Federal expands shotshell lineup with new Shorty Shotshell

Federal springs into 2019 with more ammo offerings specifically for shotshell fans, launching the new Shorty Shotshell series. The Shorty Shotshell measures a total of 1 3/4-inches long, but delivers the same patterns, energy and accuracy as its full-size siblings.
The ammo comes in 12-gauge eight shot as well as four buck and rifled slug loads. The Shorty Shotshell rounds offer a muzzle velocity of around 1,200 feet-per-second. Perfect for target shooting, Federal said the new loads are an exciting move for shotgun fans.

“Great things really do come in small packages,” Federal said in a news release. “Although just 1 ¾-inch long, new Shorty Shotshells offer similar patterns, energy and accuracy as full-size counterparts. Now available in 8 shot, 4 buck and rifled slug loads perfect for fun at the range.”
A 10-round box will set consumers back $5.95 for the 8 shot and $11.95 for the 4 buck.
