The bright orange safety rods slide easily into the chamber and barrel, which prevents rounds from accidentally being loaded into the chamber. The portion of the rod that protrudes from the barrel confirms that the gun is safe for dry fire. The rifle safety rod is made for 5.56, 7.62 and .22. There are three lengths, 13”, 17” and 21”.
