FireArms Import/Export Roundtable Trade Group

Washington, DC – -(AmmoLand.com)- On March 26, 2019, Johanna Reeves, Executive Director for F.A.I.R. (Firearm Ammunition Importers and Exporters) Trade Group, testified before the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. At a hearing held by the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, Ms. Reeves spoke in favor of the proposed rules that would transition most firearms and ammunition from the export controls of the State Department’s International Traffic in Arms Regulations over to the jurisdiction of the Commerce Department and its Export Administration Regulations. She was the only witness offering testimony in support of the proposed rules.

The other witnesses, representing Amnesty International and The Arms Control Association, were firmly opposed. [as they are to the Second Amendment.]
