With over 6 million of these classic rifles made there are lots of M1 users who wouldn’t trade their guns for anything — but beware of the dreaded “Garand thumb.”
To take a look a the concept in the above From the Vault series via Brownells is the gun reviewer and vlogger who goes by the eponymous Garand injury for a quick run-down on the rifle.
“Just shooting it brings you back to that time when rifles were wood and steel and iron sights were the only method you had to shoot through,” he says.
