The newly redesigned Uzi Pro Pistol is a blowback-operated, semi-automatic 9mm pistol made in Israel by Israel Weapon Industries (IWI), and distributed here by IWI US. The pistol also incorporates several design changes and improvements over the old Uzi pistol.

The lower receiver is now made from polymer to reduce weight while increasing durability, corrosion resistance and strength. It also extends the full length of the upper receiver.

A 2.5-inch Picatinny rail is included just in front of the triggerguard for lights and lasers. This rail extends to almost the front of the barrel.

The grip had been redesigned with a much more ergonomic and less boxy appearance, and it features grooves at the front and rear as well as a front lip at the bottom for a more secure hold. The magazine well is also flared for faster reloading. The magazine release has also been moved to the rear of the triggerguard.

The grip safety located at the rear of the grip is made from polymer and has been redesigned with a rounded and more pronounced shape for more positive engagement.
