Ed Brown recently announced the newest addition to its Evolution Series of pistols, the EVO-E9. The E9 provides a smaller, thinner and lighter alternative to the previously-released Executive Commander.

EVO-E9 Features

The E9 follows the KC9, the first model in the Evolution series. The E9 features a two-tone finish along with 25 LPI checkering on the front strap and mainspring housing. The pistol also utilizes a fully machined and blended one-piece magwell. The one-piece design delivers a slim profile, making it suitable for carry, yet still providing functionality for quick mag changes, according to Ed Brown.

The E9 also features an external extractor, easy-to-change front sight and a smaller, ledge-style rear sight. Inside there is a bull barrel and flat wire recoil spring system. Meanwhile, the 4-inch slide is shorter and thinner for substantial weight reduction.

Noticeable is the unique 7-top custom slide cut, along with special front and rear serrations. The look combines both form and function. A recessed slide stop and exclusive Labyrinth grips complete the package.
