Doug Koenig’s Championship Season: Sportsman’s Team Challenge and Elk Hunt

Hamburg, PA., –-(Ammoland.com)- This week’s episode picks up with two and three person teams trying to make the qualifying rounds at the 2016 Sportsman’s Team Challenge presented by Bass Pro Shops. Held at the Heartland Public Shooting Park in Grand Island, NE the match is open to the general public, industry and all shooting levels of competitors.

Switching from the Nebraska Great Plains to the Little Belt Mountains of Montana, Doug sets out for an early season archery Elk hunt at Hidden Valley Outfitters. As Doug glasses from a tree stand overlooking confers and Aspens, he is soon surrounded by a herd of elk coming off a nearby canyon. Mother Nature steps in as brutal northwest winds blowing affect Doug’s hold point and temperatures begin to drop in the thirties. Tune in next week as Doug goes full draw for a Montana Elk.
