Doug Koenig Championship Season Presents Mixed Bag

Hamburg, PA -(AmmoLand.com)- Tonight on Sportsman Channel at 7 p.m. EST, Doug Koenig Championship Season checks in on the Koenig family competing at the US Steel Nationals in Florida.

As Bradley Koenig makes his shooting debut in the Rimfire Division, Doug tries to strike a balance as the calming coach and anxious father from behind the box. It’s a new generation of Koenig’s on the range, and one that promises a bright future for the continuation of the shooting sports.

Then it’s barking dogs and the thump of pellet rifles in Montgomery, Alabama as the second annual GAMO Squirrel Masters Classic unfolds. With his GAMO Whisper G2 .22 pellet rifle, topped with a Leupold Scope, Doug’s hoping to add another trophy to his collection. It’s a fun-filled hunt as squirrel dogs run excitedly through the forest picking up scents high in the nut bearing trees.

Rounding out the show is a quick, two-day turkey hunt in Lincoln, Kansas. The rainy weather gives way to clear skies and a belly spot and stalk allows Doug to take a Tom, it’s another great day afield.
