Doug Koenig Championship Season Presents: A Family Affair

Hamburg, PA -(AmmoLand.com)- Tonight on Sportsman Channel at 7 p.m. EST, Doug Koenig Championship Season heads south to Northern Florida as Doug and his two sons hunt for Osceola Wild Turkey; then it’s onto Marble Falls, Texas as Doug and Trevor compete at the Sportsman’s Team Challenge National Championship.

Sitting in a blind, covered by saw palmetto fronds in Ocala, Florida, Doug and his two sons patiently wait out the pouring rains. Guided by Gator Country Trapper & Outfitters, everyone’s rooting for Doug’s youngest son Bradley to shoot his first Osceola long beard turkey. Finally, the weather breaks, the calling begins and soon adrenaline levels rise as a memorable family affair unfolds.

Driving through the entrance of Copperhead Creek Sporting Club, means one thing, blasting clay targets and shooting colorful steel targets downrange. Doug, Jerry Miculek and Michael Plaxo make up a winning trio as Team Smith & Wesson, while Trevor and his Junior Division team-mates The Eliminators huddle to devise their shooting strategy. It’s a character building event which combines teamwork and attracts families to enjoy a multi-discipline shooting competition.
