3-Gun competitions are about not only accuracy, but also speed. Shots must be placed well, but more importantly they must be placed on multiple targets and more quickly than other shooters. To quicken transitions between targets and improve handling in tight courses the new 3GR 2.0 starts with a shorter 16-inch barrel. While 18-inch barrels had been the trend in the name of accuracy, DoubleStar shortened that length by two inches without sacrificing accuracy.
