Smash, But No Grab Burglary in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – St. Louis city police are still unraveling details from a wild encounter on Friday morning.

Officers say an employee of the I-Mobile store on Union saw two men drive a green car into the front door, and a third man got out of a blue Jeep to join them.

Once inside, they began smashing display case glass to take cell phones.

The employee pulled a gun on the men and started shooting. The burglars dropped the phones and ran.
