Discriminating Against Muslims Doesn’t Help The Second Amendment

I know everyone is angry about Muslim terrorism, but the Oklahoma gun-range that posted a Muslim-Free Zone sign isn’t doing us any favors.

All Muslims are not the same! I’ve been to Dearborn, Michigan, I have enjoyed Arab food. I didn’t get killed or discriminated against in any way.

A gun range needs to be open to all, it needs to be a welcoming environment. Suppose there was a Muslim cleric getting death threats over his moderate views (yes, that actually happens, the jihadists aren’t afraid to kill their own people), and he goes to a gun store/range to buy a gun or to practice his skills, are you gonna tell him, “sorry, we don’t want your kind here”?

To me that’s like complaining about racism while hating every other race. It’s illogical, it empowers your enemies instead of empowering you.

Our real enemy is Gun-Free Zones, that’s the real enabler of terrorism and mass shootings. Muslims in America need to be Americanized, some of them are. Some of them drink alcohol, eat pork, and yes, will visit a gun range (gun ownership isn’t a sin in Islam).
