Dick’s Sporting Goods Calls Cops After Woman Asks Question about Buying 8 Boxes of Ammo for AR-15

After the San Bernardino attacks all of California is on edge. But a California woman claims she was being racially profiled after simply asking a question about buying ammunition from a Dick’s Sporting Goods store.

The East Bay woman walked into a Dick’s store and asked an employee about buying 8 boxes of ammunition for an AR-15. She did not buy any ammo.

The store’s response was to call police and 2 days later a couple officers showed up at the woman’s door.

Sim Sangha, however, is a certified firearms instructor and is looking into becoming an enforcement officer herself.

According to NBCbayarea.com,

“I don’t know if it’s [because of] my skin color or that I’m Indian,” she said. “I’m not a Muslim, but even if I were, that’s no reason to call police to my home, instantly.”

Sangha, a firearms instructor, didn’t buy ammunition for her rifle – the same kind used to gun down 14 people and injure 17 others in San Bernardino – and left instead with an exercise mask.

“They singled me out,” Sangha said. “They singled me out because of the way I look.”
