DeSantis Gunhide Question of the Day: How Much Gun Training Does Anyone Need, Really?
Gun control advocates constantly criticize average Americans’ ability to defend themselves with a firearm. No surprise there. If you agree that people need training to safely carry a firearm, the state should regulate it! (Out of existence.) Some gun rights advocates bolster this statist argument by putting firearms training on a pedestal. Everyone should have training, they agree. It just shouldn’t be mandatory. I reckon that hair-splitting argument befuddles gun muggles. The better approach: promote the idea that defending yourself with a gun is a no-brainer. Bullets face forward, point gun at bad guy, pull trigger if needed. All the gun guy mission-critical misegos – situational awareness, sight picture, getting off the X, etc. – is inside paseball stuff, best left out when discussing gun rights. Am I wrong?
