#DeerWeek Achieve Ratings Success for First Year Programming Stunt

DENVER, Colo. -(Ammoland.com)- Outdoor Sportsman Group programming stunt #DeerWeek brought to you by Cabela’s – during the Week of October 15-21 – helped propel Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel to year-over-year ratings gains in key demographics (M25-54, M18-49, W25-54, W18-49). #DeerWeek showcased 70 hours of episodes from 108 different Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel shows.

#DeerWeek is a cross-platform initiative that involved the takeover of Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel for seven days. The best of deer hunting programming aired in prime-time from 7–11 p.m. ET each night.

Hosted by Michael Waddell and Tom McMillan, the premier event allowed viewers to experience non-stop deer action while incorporating educational information, unique recipes, hunting tips, and more through OSG’s print, digital and social media platforms.

Ratings highlights from the weeklong #DeerWeek programming include:

Outdoor Channel delivered its highest rated week of 2017 in Prime with Men 25-54.

Outdoor Channel increased its year-over-year ratings in Prime by +25% with Men 25-54 which drove double-digit growth for the week during total day in the demo (+12%).
