Georgia-based gun maker Daniel Defense is making the public aware of a potential issue with rifles that may fire twice with a single trigger pull.
The problem, with the Disconnector in the Fire Control Group of some DD firearms, applies to certain guns made between April 1, 2016 and March 3.
“In the Company’s spirit to always do the right thing, Daniel Defense will correct any and all potential conditions at no cost to the consumer as part of our 100 percent Satisfaction Guarantee,” says the company’s safety notification page, which directs gun owners possibly affected by the condition to check their serial number.
Should a gun owner have a firearm identified to be in the range, Daniel Defense encourages users to unload the gun and follow the fundamental NRA rules for safe gun handling before proceeding with contacting the company to arrange a factory correction to their lower receiver.
