Today, Daniel Defense will break ground on a new quarter-million sq. ft. facility in Black Creek, Georgia, as part of a $29.5 million expansion project that is expected to create an estimated 75 new jobs. Construction is expected to be completed in the summer of 2017.

“We’re excited about physically breaking ground on our new facility, as it will play a big role in helping us increase efficiencies in manufacturing and day-to-day operations, which is good for the company and our customers,” said Daniel Defense President/CEO Marty Daniel. “It also represents the creation of many new jobs and overall growth for the company—which is good for Bryan County and the local economy.”

Daniel Defense moved from Chatham County, Georgia to neighboring Byron County, where Black Creek is located, in 2009. The company has a second location in Ridgeland, South Carolina, but all operations there will be moved into the new Black Creek facility once it’s completed, thereby consolidating all of the company’s operations into one central location, the press release says.
