As if the state of Texas didn’t have enough going on in this news cycle, it seems a Dallas man felt like he needed to try and up the stupid. That’s the only explanation for him traveling from the Lone Star State to Washington, D.C. where he reportedly planned to kill all white police officers there.

A Dallas man was arrested Monday at the White House after he reportedly traveled to Washington intending to kill “all white police” at the executive mansion.

The Secret Service said in a statement that an alert had been issued by the Montgomery County Police Department in Maryland to be on the lookout for Michael Arega.

Officers spotted him on the north side of Pennsylvania Avenue near Lafayette Park.

Secret Service agents were able to arrest Arega without incident.

Police officers were alerted to Arega’s plans after his ex-wife reportedly notified authorities of his intentions from her home in Texas.

The man’s ex-wife alerted police from her home in Texas, according to Montgomery County Police spokesman Capt. Paul Starks.

Starks said the man’s ex-wife was concerned about her ex-husband’s mental and emotional health and that he had stopped taking his prescribed medications. She called police when …Read the Rest
