The following is a release from Glock:

Dakota Meyer is slated to compete in the annual Gunny Challenge XI event where he will face off with Glock spokesperson, R. Lee Ermey, best known as, “The Gunny.” The event is part of the Glock Annual Shoot hosted by the Glock Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF).

In 2014, the match once again broke record as the highest attended action pistol match known. The weekend–long match is geared toward shooters of all levels with a special focus on providing a safe and fun family environment.

Back by popular demand, the Gunny Challenge XI will pit two Marines against each other in a friendly action pistol match.

“Finally, at last, a worthy adversary,” said Ermey. “An accomplished military veteran. A Medal of Honor recipient. I cannot wait. He’s one of my heroes.”

The three-day shoot will be held at the Griffin Gun Club in Griffin, Ga., on Sept. 25-27, 2015. All are welcome to participate and must only be a GSSF member to compete. Membership is available at event registration and online.
