Boston – -(Ammoland.com)- Copley’s Sporting Sale 2016 was a great success. The auction achieved $1.4 million in sales and saw an impressive 90% of lots sold.

Copley Fine Arts 2016 Sporting Sale Highlights
The top decoy lot was The McCleery-Holmes Plover, which sold for $144,000. A wigeon drake by John Blair, Sr., brought $90,000, and the Konopasek-Graves Preening Mallard by Bert Graves and Catherine Elliston sold for $75,000.
The top painting lot was Andrew Wyeth’s watercolor Terns on Little Green Island, Maine, which sold for $63,000, followed by A.B. Frost’s Grouse Shooting in the Rhododendrons, which brought $57,000.
