On the 15th of January, the Sandy Hook Advisory Commission, a group 16 people appointed by Governor Malloy, convened to discuss their ideas and final recommendations for ways to prevent another school shooting like the one they experienced two years ago. According to their webpage, they have the following goals:

“The Sandy Hook Advisory Commission is a 16-member panel of experts created by Governor Malloy to review current policy and make specific recommendations in the areas of public safety, with particular attention paid to school safety, mental health, and gun violence prevention.”
