Unfortunately, yesterday evening, the House Committee on State, Veterans and Military Affairs voted down Senate Bill 86 by a 4-7 vote and Senate Bill 175 by a 5-6 vote. SB 86, introduced by state Senator Kent Lambert (R-9), would have repealed the egregious legislation passed in 2013 that requires a background check for the private transfer of a firearm between law-abiding citizens. …read more
