Children of the Civil War - the Uphams Fred Upham’s father served in the Second Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, was wounded in action at the First Battle of Bull Run, spent time as a POW at Libby Prison in Richmond and was later appointed by President Lincoln to West Point.
