Chicago Police Department Approves Sig P320 for Duty Use
Sig Sauer‘s P320 continues to rack up key endorsements amongst law enforcement; the Chicago Police Department just added the popular gun to its list of authorized duty pistols.

As Sig’s press release notes, the Chicago Police Department has approved the P320 Nitron Full-Size, P320 Nitron Carry, P320 Nitron Compact, and the P320 Nitron Subcompact for duty use. In addition to the P320, Chicago police officers are currently allowed to use the Glock 17 and Glock 19 and a range of Springfield XD pistols, as well as a number of models in the Smith & Wesson M&P line. The department is the second largest police department in the United States. It has over 13,000 sworn officers, covering 22 different districts in the Windy City.
