Century Arms was at SHOT Show 2019 showing off their new AK, the VSKA. The rifle dropped in fall of 2018 as a replacement to their Red Army Standard RAS47. The new VSKA includes upgrades such as better wood – walnut – for the stock and forend. The gun is coated in the durable phosphate coating, which should provide longevity to the rifle. Century also decided to machine the bolt carrier, front trunnion, and feed ramp from S7 tool steel. “We’ve moved away from the traditional materials and into more modern things,” a rep from Century told us.
The VSKA ships with a single 30-round magazine and retails currently for $735. It’s currently available in a couple versions, the one seen in the video and also a classic Magpul MOE version as well.
