See, this is why I’m a dog person. “Joseph Stanton, 29, of Bates Township (Michigan) in Iron County, was shot in his lower torso around 6 p.m. Tuesday, the state police post in Iron River reported.” A cleaning accident? Twirling his gun? Nope. “State police said he was cooking at his stove when the cat knocked the loaded gun off the kitchen counter behind him.” I like cats, but they’re filling. That, and Labradors don’t walk on my kitchen counters. Here’s hoping Mr. Stanton makes a full recovery. And assuming he does, I’ll be happy to buy him a DeSantis holster so he can keep it on his hip and out of the reach of frolicking felines from now on.
