California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom plans to launch today a statewide ballot campaign to require ammunition buyers to undergo instant background checks as gun-control advocates increasingly expand their focus beyond guns to ammo.
The proposed 2016 initiative would also ban the possession of ammunition magazines with more than 10 rounds, requiring owners turn them over to law enforcement, sell them to a licensed firearms dealer, or transfer them out of state, according to the Sacramento Bee. …Read the Rest
