I’ve said it a thousand times at least, but California isn’t the kind of place you look to for a pro-gun sentiment. The state makes it ridiculously difficult to get a carry permit, makes it difficult to buy or sell a firearm, and makes it an all-around pain in the rear to even own a gun. They don’t like the Second Amendment in that state.

So when you have a sheriff in California not just saying people can carry if they have a permit, but that they should carry if they have one, that’s news. And that’s precisely what happened.

Promoting the right to bear arms and defend yourself, a California sheriff is encouraging law-abiding concealed-carry holders in his jurisdiction to help safeguard themselves and others.

Sheriff Mike Boudreaux of Tulare County, Calif., recently he took to Twitter to make a statement in support of the Second Amendment.

Sheriff Boudreaux tweeted: “I encourage all CCW holders in Tulare County to exercise your rights. Do so legally and only with a valid permit. Secure our communities and protect life by being able to defend ourselves against active shooters, threats to life and those who use guns …Read the Rest
