Brother Stops Two Armed Bad Guys From Assaulting His Sibling In The Kitchen

LUBBOCK, TEXAS — An occupant of a home in Lubbock was able to come to his brother’s defense after two armed intruders kicked down the door and began attacking his brother with the butt of a pistol.

According to statements released to Everything Lubbock, the brother reported that he initially heard a knock at the door around 2:30 a.m. When he failed to answer the knock but instead asked the people on the other side to identify themselves, they allegedly shot through the door before kicking it in. Both of the burglary suspects then proceeded to beat the man as he tried to retreat for cover beneath a kitchen table.

Thankfully, his brother was right upstairs and initially came down to investigate the noise only to discover his brother being assaulted. He went upstairs, told his wife to call 911, and then headed down with a gun of his own to handle business.

One of the attackers was shot in the back. The other one had the opportunity to run.

The suspect that was shot has been identified as 27-year-old Adrian Lee Hernandez. Once he’s out of the hospital, he’ll face charges relating to the burglary.
