For me, the .416 Barrett is one of those “bucket list” calibers that I’d love to get the opportunity to shoot. It was designed as a higher-performance alternative to the .50 BMG as a long-range sniping round, retains more energy past 1,000 yards than the .50 BMG, and remains supersonic past 1,900 yards.

Make sure you get a gander at the muzzle blast knocking a box of ammunition off the shooting bench. While the blast is impressive, the shooters claim that the brake does a stellar job of controlling the rifle’s recoil. …read more
