Tennessee-based Barrett, known for its large-caliber rifle programs, is scaling smaller with what it bills as the “next-generation of AR pistol.”
The REC7 DI pistol builds on the company’s current series of customizable direct impingement rifles with a handgun variant that brings a 10.25-inch match-grade stainless steel barrel to the table in both 5.56mm and .300BLK offerings.
Overall length is 24.75 inches while they tip the scales at 5.45 pounds. The pistols come complete with a host of features including an oversized charging handle, Barrett BRS Key-Mod handguard, and muzzle device, as well as a pistol brace. Magpul accessories slather the new pistols and include a MOE pistol grip, trigger guard, and 20-round PMAG. They come in any color you want as long as what you want is black.
Price is $1,899 MSRP and Erin Kennedy, Barrett’s marketing director, tells us that these guns will be a limited time offer through Barrett distributors.
