Hunting and shooting accessory maker Butler Creek takes aim at inefficient magazine loading with the introduction of the ASAP mag loader.
The ASAP seeks to make mag loading easier. Available in Universal Single Stack or Double Stack, AK-47/GALIL and AR-15 configurations, these loaders offer speedier loading with reduced thumb relief.

The Universal Single Stack as well as the Double Stack models work with a variety of common magazines between 9mm and .45 ACP, while the ASAP AR-15/M-16 loader offers a total of three ways to load MSR magazines — none of which require the use of the shooter’s thumb. Loose ammo can be loaded one round at a time with a click to slip the round into place.
“They are extremely easy to use,” said Butler Creek Product Manager Will Hemeyer in a press release. “Simply push the mag loader down, insert the round below the feed lips, and raise the loader up. The cartridge is seated and magazine loaded… just like that.”
