Armed Robbers Pick the Wrong Mother and Son as Victims in Indiana

Two Darwin Award winners were shot and killed around 1:15 a.m. Saturday morning outside the The Grove Bar in Beech Grove, IN after they walked up to a mother and her son sitting in their vehicle and pulled a gun on them.

The mom and son were armed security guards.

“The two deceased walked up to the car, pulled a gun on the two security guards and said give me everything you have and they said we don’t have anything except the cell phone. He said give me your cell phone,” said Beech Grove Mayor Dennis Buckley.

The two robbers, 29-year-old Seth Easley and a 14-year-old male, had been spotted on surveillance video by the armed security guards earlier and described as ‘suspicious’. According to authorities, it was the 14-year-old suspect who ultimately attempted the armed robbery using a loaded gun which had been reported stolen from Greenwood, IN.

“We don’t want anybody to die during a robbery, I mean that is not the sentence for robbery, death, but if you do a robbery things like this can happen to the person doing the robbing, to the other person, to somebody just in the neighborhood,” said Robert Mercuri, Captain of the Beech Grove Police …Read the Rest
