Armed homeowner stops home invasion, WLKY, Louisville, Ky. 07/15/16

A family was at home in Louisville, Ky. when a pair of men attempted to break into their house. The homeowner responded to the threat by retrieving a gun and firing at the criminals, striking one and causing the other to flee.
Earlier in the week, a neighbor had called police to report some suspicious individuals that appeared to be casing homes in the neighborhood. Neighbors were supportive of the homeowner’s actions, with one telling a local media outlet, “[The criminal’s] not dead. The house is protected. He is incapacitated.
