Arkansas -(Ammoland.com)- The first segment of Arkansas’s alligator season was a rousing success for James Pelt of Camden.

Pelt bagged a state record gator that measured 13 feet 10 inches. The previous record was 13 feet 9¾ inches.

The season began 30 minutes after sunset on Friday, Sept. 18 until 30 minutes before sunrise on Monday, Sept. 21. The final season is from 30 minutes after sunset on Friday, Sept. 25 until 30 minutes before sunrise on Monday, Sept. 28.
