Arkansas: Anti-Gun Legislation Scheduled for Committee Hearing Tomorrow

Yesterday, anti-gun legislation aimed at restricting your Second Amendment rights was introduced in the Arkansas General Assembly by state Representative Chris Richey (D-12). House Bill 1265 seeks to make the lawful open carry of firearms subject to the same regulations as concealed carry. In other words, you would need to obtain a permit. This legislation would impede on a law-abiding individuals ability to carry a firearm for self-defense by adding unnecessary hurdles and regulations to the process. Your NRA-ILA strongly opposes this legislation, which has been referred to the House Judiciary Committee and scheduled for a hearing tomorrow, January 26.
