Arizona Elk Society’s Wild in the City Event Connects Kids to Nature

What:
Wild in the City is a fun-filled, one-day program for youths 6-16 to learn outdoor skills including archery, wildlife identification, survival, fishing and elk and turkey calling with the Arizona Elk Society and its volunteers.
Why:
The Arizona Elk Society hosts the program several times a year in Phoenix and other communities to teach youth appreciation for the outdoors, new skills and help girl and boy scouts earn necessary badges.
Parents describe the event as a one-day science camp adventure with hands-on activities their children have never done before.
Additional sponsors and volunteers are needed to expand the program to more local children.
When:
Saturday, Nov. 5.
Registration: 8:30 a.m.
Activities: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
