Alliant Powder revamped its Red Dot clay target powder, offering a cleaner burning powder product for clay target shooters.
Alliant Powder, a manufacturer of smokeless propellant, said the new and improved Red Dot delivers better flow characteristics, offering significantly less fouling. The company reports a 50-percent cleaner burn with the improved Red Dot formula. Optimized for 12-gauge target loads, the American made Red Dot powder continues Alliant Powder’s lot-to-lot consistency, according to the company.
“Improved Red Dot now burns significantly cleaner and offers better flow characteristics with the same clay-crushing performance the world’s best shooters have trusted since 1932,” Alliant Powder said in a recent press release.
The Red Dot powder comes in three size varieties to suit reloader’s needs, with Alliant Powder offering a one- and four-pound bottles or eight-pound canister. The high performance clay target powder is currently shipping to dealers. Red Dot prices start at $24 for the one-pound bottle, topping out at $169 for the eight-pound canister.
