Holster maker Alien Gear continues to give concealed carriers more options when it comes to toting guns, announcing the release of the ShapeShift Drop Leg Holster.
While the company is better known for its inside-the-waistband and outside-the-waistband offerings, the new drop leg ushers in a new era for the company and its latest ShapeShift Modular Hoslter System.
Fitting within the ShapeShift family, which debuted at SHOT Show in Las Vegas in January, the modular holster system allows users to purchase a molded shell for their gun which then attaches to different holster bases. The theory is that concealed carrier can buy one shell but have multiple carrying options.
The Drop Leg holster is the latest in the series of innovation on the ShapeShift platform. The holster is a comfortable yet durable design that holds to the shape of the leg, according to Alien Gear. The adjustable straps, which buckle around the leg, are thick but offer a soft texture capable of supporting the weight of a gun or gear. Alien Gear says the Drop Leg is both convenient and presents a “tactical advantage.”
