(Ammoland.com)American Gunsmithing Institute (AGI), producers of the most authoritative Gunsmithing DVD courses, is pleased to offer gunsmiths and students a Design, Function and Repair: Colt® 1911 class with Master Gunsmith Bob Dunlap. The course, to be held from Sept. 21 – 25, 2015, is open to current AGI Professional Gunsmithing students only. Students must have successfully completed the Handgun section of the course prior to registration.

This AGI instructor-led course consists of approximately 15 hours of lecture and 25 hours of hands-on experience and covers the design, function and repair of the Colt® type 1911 in .45 ACP. Dunlap will teach all phases of repair, functionality and reliability of the Colt® 1911, including trigger jobs. The course does not cover any “custom” work.

Each student will need to bring a suitable 1911, a hammer, a set of punches, screwdrivers, stones, lubricant, needle files and at least one mill or mill bastard file six inches long or longer, eye protection and a dial caliper.
