Springdale, AR -(AmmoLand.com)- The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission completed closing procedures to assume ownership of 60.9 acres of land for a proposed education center in northwest Arkansas.

The parcel near the southeast corner of Wagon Wheel Road and I-49 in north Springdale belonged to the City of Springdale and the city’s water and sewer commission. Through the agreement, the city transferred the property to the AGFC. The AGFC in turn paid Springdale’s closing costs on the transfer. The City of Springdale also worked with the AGFC and an environmental consultant to ensure a clean bill of health for the property before the transfer took place.

AGFC Director Mike Knoedl said that he’s excited about the opportunities an education center in northwest Arkansas offers.
