After surviving the Bataclan terrorist attack in Paris, Jesse Hughes is even more convinced that everyone should be able to defend themselves with firearms.

The Eagles of Death Metal were performing in the Bataclan theater in Paris when Muslim terrorists launched a widspread attack at multiple locations in Paris last November. Two of the terrorists attacked the concert, killing 89 people.

The band escaped the attack largely due to dumb luck (and bad shooting). Jesse Hughes, frontman for the band, is a gun rights advocate, and is now blasting French gun laws for keeping the good guys from being armed, and made it easier for the terrorists to conduct their massacre unchallenged.

The Paris terrorist attacks shouldn’t be exploited to clamp down on guns, insists Jesse Hughes, the front man for the band that was performing when 89 people were killed in the Bataclan theater last year.

Hughes’ band, Eagles of Death Metal, was about an hour into its performance when gunmen stormed in and opened fire in one of the coordinated attacks across the city on Nov. 13.
