Abandoned Home Invasion Goes South After Armed Family member Intervenes

CLENDININ, WV — Two punks were hoping to make some easy money during a burglary at an abandoned house in West Virginia when they found a very valuable item they didn’t expect:

A gun, right in their faces, being held there by a relative of the home’s owner.

As WOWK reports:

A relative of a homeowner in Clendenin, West Virginia held two burglary suspects at gunpoint until deputies with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene. It happened in the 4600 block of Spencer Road in Clendenin Tuesday morning.

The home has been abandoned since falling victim to the devastating floods in June of 2016, deputies said. Dusty A. Jones, 30 of Cabin Creek, is charged with breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods. Kayla Gibson, 25 of Charleston, was arrested at the scene on previous warrants

They were transported to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office for booking.

This doesn’t really need to be said, but for all you would-be crime bosses out there — just because a home is empty doesn’t mean you can come right in!
