Considered by many to be John Moses Browning’s magnum opus, the Hi-Power was a double-stack 9mm combat pistol that was ahead of its time.
Examining this classic single-action, the Garand Thumb channel dips into the vault to pull out a personally owned commercial Mk.III Hi-Power to compare the elegant pre-WWII design to some of today’s more updated handguns. Some thorns come to the surface, as it is a design that predates the first running jet engine, but overall the classic handgun remains surprisingly relevant in a lot of ways– especially when it comes to accuracy.
