A Case for the Wolves in Oregon State – Letter to the AmmoLand Editor

Editor Note: This was in response to Oregon Determines Wolves Are NOT Endangered, But Still No Hunting November 10, 2015
Oregon via Scotland, UK. – -(Ammoland.com)- In reading the letters I guess there are two sides to every story and we always give the other side a chance to have their say, but I do know in Scotland, UK. as one example, where we once had European Wolves, the lush Caledonian Forests at one time had stretched from coast to coast.
All of this land is now completely over-nibbled by the herds of Red Deer (Elk as they’re known in America) and there are now only sad scattered remnants of it remaining.
And so Wolves actually do a great deal of good, both in Oregon State and elsewhere in the world. They also keep the wild herds healthy, taking out the lesser able animals that would otherwise pass on their weaker genes; they will take young as well of course but that’s only nature in the raw doing its thing.
