The VSO Gun Channel does some head-to-head shooting stacking up the .50-caliber BMG against the good ol’ 12-gauge scatter gun.
The shotgun of choice is a JW2000 Chinese coach gun stoked with high brass 7/8-ounce Fiocchi slugs, while the .50 cal is stuffed with 647-grain APIT rounds.
After some comparisons through the chronograph and a discussion about felt recoil, they move on to shooting some mild steel to see what the real difference is.
Forget apples to oranges, this is comparing apples to bowling balls.
