80-year-old man shoots home intruder in NC home (VIDEO)

Statesville police said the 80-year-old victim was able to grab a handgun and shoot the assailant inside his home, but the intruder got hold of it after a brief struggle and shot the victim. The injured intruder fled with the victim’s money.
The next morning, Marcus D. Brown, 40, of Statesville showed up at Carolinas Medical Center-Concord with a bullet wound. Investigators linked him to the home invasion as well as other burglary and assault charges.
