Bear Hounds killed & Injured – Bayfield, Doulgas, Iron, & Lincoln Counties Wisconsin.

Editors note: That brings the total number of known dogs killed by wolves in 2016 to 13. As the season progresses we can most definitely expect more pets to be killed more as wolves expand their pack sizes.

MADISON, WI –-(Ammoland.com)- On July 23rd and 24th 2016, Wildlife Services confirmed that wolves depredated ( aka killed ) or injured the following bear hunting dogs:

– A two-and-a-half-year-old male Black and Tan hound killed on 7/22/16 in the Township of Drummond, Bayfield Co.

– A six-year-old male Redtick hound injured on 7/23/16 in the Township of Barnes, Bayfield Co.

– A one-and-a-half-year-old Plott hound killed on 7/23/16 in the Town of Knight, Iron Co.

– A Bluetick hound killed on 7/23/16 in the Town of Solon Springs, Douglas Co.

– A seven-year-old Walker hound killed, and a two-year-old Plott hound injured on 7/23/16 in the Town of Corning, Lincoln Co.
